Learn how to utilise triConvey Quick Search and Advanced Search to find matter information quickly and efficiently.

Search Logic

  • Search is not case sensitive (a = A) and supports special characters. 


  • Quick search shows the top 5 results, and Advanced search shows up to the top 200 results. 


For best results, follow the rules below when searching in triConvey:



Matters and Leads

Client Name/Other Side Name 

  • Exact match: Lee 
  • Partial match: Leeroy (but not Leeroy)
  • First letters: Lee Ryan James, Jack Brown 


Matter Number 

  • Exact match: 857 
  • Partial match: 
  • Prefix: 857/001 
  • Suffix: 2024/857 
  • Infix: 2024/12345 
  • 10 character limit (per separator i.e. space, / or -) 


Matter Description 

  • Exact match: 123 Fake Street Sydney 
  • Partial match: 123 Fake Street (but not 123 Fake Street
  • Exclusion: Street type only (neither Avenue nor Ave)


Contacts

The following search logic applies to both Individual (Person) and Organisation contact types.


Individual or Organisation Contact's First/Middle/Last Name and Business Name

  • Exact match: Lee 
  • Partial match: Leeroy (but not Leeroy
  • First letters: Lee Ryan James, Jack Brown 


Phone Number 

  • Exact match: 0412345678 
  • Partial: 0412345678 (but not 0412345678
  • Ignores number format (041234 and/or 04 1234 etc) 


Email 


Address 

  • Exact match: 123 Fake Street 
  • Partial: 123 Fake Street (but not 123 Fake Street)



triConvey Desktop App


Quick search provides immediate access to open leads, matters, contacts, tasks and events. It is accessible from any page on the triConvey Home Dashboard.


Simply start typing the required search query (no need to press the ‘Enter’ key) and results begin to appear in a dropdown list that displays the top 5 results. 

Tip:  Quick search returns open matters and active contacts only.  Used Advanced search below to find more results.



Advanced search allows you to delve deeper into your firm’s stored information. You can refine your search with additional filters to explore a broader range of results across various data sources, including documents and memos.


To access Advanced Search:


1.    Conduct a Quick search.


2.    Select Advanced Search to show all results.


3.    Advanced Search will categorise all search results into Leads, Matters, Contacts, Events, Tasks, Memos and Documents.  Click on the tabs to view the results.


4.    Select Save Conflict Check to save search results to the Documents section of a specific matter if needed.


Boolean Search is available for documents in Advanced Search, which allows for targeted searches across matter files.

Tip:  Not seeing expected results?  Try checking the search filters as identified in image below.


Document search in a matter

You can search for documents in individual matters by entering search terms in the search bar within the matter.




triConvey Companion Site Web App

1.   Enter your search terms in the search bar on the top-right corner.

Tip:  triConvey will display search results across all matters, leads and contacts directly under the search.



2.    Select See all results at the bottom of the preview to conduct a full search in triConvey, including finding invoices, tasks, memos and documents containing this search term.
