Updating Firm Details
1. Provide triConvey Support with full details so we can update our records.
2. Update your letterhead/s in triConvey to reflect change of name / ABN.
- Update your firm details in triConvey Settings so that your document containers and letterheads are kept up to date.
- If your firm details are part of an image or hard-typed, they will need to be replaced manually within the document containers.
Transferring to a new trust account
Before you begin - important compliance information
Before moving funds from an old trust account to a new trust account, please ensure you have consulted with the relevant Law Society body for your state and/or your Trust Auditor.
Some states and/or circumstances have different requirements and require certain steps to be completed in order to move funds to another trust account. Advice on these requirements are outside the scope of triConvey support and trainers.
1. Ensure you comply with all requirements and regulations of your state's Law Society and/or Trust Auditor.
2. Record a trust payment from the old trust account to the new trust account.
3. In the new trust account, create a trust deposit to record the receipt of funds from the old trust account.
4. In the old trust account, reconcile to the end of the month and complete all end-of-month processes.
5. Close the old trust account and start transacting in the new trust account.
