This month, we have released new features in the triConvey Companion Site Web App. Read on to learn more.
New features
Set individual staff permissions Firm Owners can now access Staff & User settings from the Web App and assign permissions to staff in regard to accessing Accounts and Reports in the Web App. Firm Owner designated staff members will have access to all Web App permissions.
If there are employees in your firm who should not have access to the following, uncheck the respective features next to their name:
Global Accounts: Accounts section and financial summaries in the Invoices section.
Unbilled and Unpaid Overview Use this report to find out how much money you can move from your trust account to your operating account at any given time.
This report name is dynamic, based on the Unbilled and Unpaid filter. If both Unbilled and Unpaid are selected, the title will be "Unbilled and Unpaid Overview." If only one is selected, it will be titled "Unbilled Overview" or "Unpaid Overview" accordingly.
Hard and Soft Cost Types for Expenses When creating expenses, you will now be able to specify whether the expense is a Hard or a Soft cost. Hard costs are costs paid directly to the supplier e.g. search fees and Soft costs are costs that your firm can choose to pass to the client e.g. costs of printer paper and ink.
Hard and Soft cost types can be mapped to different accounts when sent across to Xero and MYOB.
The triConvey Desktop App will need to be updated to V9.0 to receive this new feature.
Refinements
Updates to the Unbilled Time & Disbursements Summary report You can now display the matter description in the report and filter the report by matter status.
Updates to the Unbilled Time & Disbursements Details report You can now filter the report by matter status. The Client filter now also includes grouped clients. If selected, the report will return matters that have those two people as clients.
Updates to the Rate Types by Matter report The Client filter now also includes grouped clients. If selected, the report will return matters that have those two people as clients.
