Getting Started
This feature is only available from Version 9.0. The Contract being uploaded to the matter must be saved as a PDF.
Create a matter from uploading a Contract of Sale
1. Select New Matter from the Action Bar.
2. Select State: NSW.
3. Select Matter Category: Conveyancing.
4. Select Matter Type: Purchase.
5. Under Pre-populate this new matter, select Browse.
6. Double-click the PDF Contract document from your computer.
7. Select Create.
Upon selecting Create, triConvey will automatically populate the Matter Details from the Contract of Sale. The PDF Contract document will also be automatically saved to the matter's Documents list.
Create a matter from a Contract of Sale attached to an email
If your client has sent a Contract of Sale PDF document via email, you can use the Outlook integration to create the new matter.
1. Open the email from the Outlook app.
2. Select the arrow icon next to the Contract of Sale attachment.
3. Select Create new matter.
The new matter will be created in triConvey, and the fields will be automatically populated from the Contract of Sale. The PDF Contract document will also be automatically saved to the matter's Documents list.
Fields that are mapped from the Contract to the Matter
The following data from the Contract of Sale will be automatically populated in the new matter:
- Real Estate Agent's address, phone, email, reference
- Vendor's name and address
- Vendor’s Solicitor's address, phone, email, reference
- Completion Date/Settlement Date
- Property Address
- Folio Identifier/Title reference
- Purchaser/s, including address
- Purchase Price
- Deposit Total
- Balance on Contract
- Contract Date
- Joint Tenants/Tenants in Common
- GST Amount
