If your firm issues fixed fee invoices whilst also recording time entries in the background, you can configure the invoice to show only the fixed fee entries to the client whilst closing out existing time entries.

1.    Create a new invoice for the Matter.

2.    In the draft invoice, navigate to your list of Time & Fees

3.    Select the three vertical dots icon and ensure that Non-billable fees are hidden. If not, click Hide non-billable fees on invoice.

4.    Mark any time entries as non-billable by unticking the box under the Billable column.

Tip:  By making them non-billable, they are still attached to the final invoice but hidden from the invoice itself.

5.    Select Add Entry above the list of entries to create a fixed fee entry.

6.    When creating the entry, ensure that Fixed is selected under the Duration section and that Billable is toggled on.

7.    Select Save.

The fixed fee entry will now show on the Time & Fees list.

8.    Preview the invoice to check that the fixed fee entry is reflected in the invoice.
