Getting Started

Ensure that you have subscribed to the Mortgage Precedent Profile in your triConvey Settings.  See Precedent Profiles for more information on subscribing to precedent profiles.

Create a NSW Mortgage matter

1.    Select New Matter from the triConvey Home Dashboard.

2.    Select State:  NSW.

3.    Select Matter Category:  Mortgage.

4.    Select Matter Type:  Mortgage.

5.    Select party:  Mortgagor, Mortgagee or Guarantor.

Tip: This will open the Matter file where you will complete the Matter Details.

Complete Matter Details

1.    Double-click Info and complete required details.

Tip:  Not all details need to be entered immediately.  However, it is best practice to enter as much information as possible to save yourself time when generating documents.

2.    Enter and complete all parties contact details.

Tip:  To add an additional party, such as the Mortgagor, right click on Mortgagor and select Add Mortgagor.

3.    Double-click Mortgagee Details to enter the Australian Credit Licence and Tenancy for each Mortgagee.

4.    Double-click Property Details to enter the Address and Title Particulars of the Security Property.

5.    Double-click Loan Details to enter the Loan Amount, Loan Term and Loan Account Number.

6.    To add uncommon contacts to your matter, select the gear icon from the top right corner of the Matter.

7.      From Show/hide details for this matter, select the additional contact/s to be displayed in Matter Details.

Tip:  You can add details for a Debtor, Owner's Corporation, Accountant, Previous Solicitor and Additional Contact.

Add Third Party Security Provider

If your Mortgage involves third party securities, you should ensure that whoever is providing the security is entered as the Mortgagor.

Any Borrowers should be added separately to your matter as a Debtor.

All Security Providers should be Mortgagors.

Complete the National Mortgage form

1.    Ensure that you have entered all relevant details in Property Details and Mortgagee Details on your matter.

2.    For each Mortgagor and Mortgagee that will be executing the National Mortgage Form, you must select the Execution Type from their Contact Card on the VOI/Execution Options tab.

3.    If the Legal Representative will be signing on behalf of the Mortgagee, ensure that the Where permitted use execution by legal representative on behalf of the company is ticked.

4.    To access the National Mortgage Form, select Precedent from the Matter Action Bar.

5.    Select the Court & Authority Forms category and then select the ARNECC Forms folder.

6.    Select the National Mortgage Form - NSW precedent to open it in word.

Tip:  This form is protected, so you will not be able to type on the document after it has been generated. If any data is populating incorrectly, you should use the triConvey Side Toolbar to update your document.
