Getting Started

triConvey runs on the Smokeball platform, so API access for custom apps is managed by Smokeball, not triSearch. If your firm wants to build a custom app that connects to your matter data, you'll apply directly through Smokeball using the same process Smokeball firms use. This article explains why, and walks you through how.

Why you'll apply through Smokeball 

triConvey is a white-labelled version of Smokeball's conveyancing software. Behind the scenes, triConvey and Smokeball share the same underlying platform and API. This means any custom app connecting to your triConvey data is technically connecting to the Smokeball API, so Smokeball's team, documentation, and application form are the right place to go, even though you're a triConvey customer.

I am a technology provider

If you're interested in building a product that integrates with triConvey and Smokeball more broadly, you can apply to partner with Smokeball. Visit the Smokeball Partner Platform to submit a Partnership Enquiry.

I am creating an app for my firm

If your firm is developing a custom app that connects to the Smokeball API, you can apply for access once you meet Smokeball's eligibility criteria. Before applying, make sure: 

1.    Your firm can demonstrate either in-house development resources or a hired third-party developer. 

2.    You and your developers have reviewed the Smokeball API documentation. 

Smokeball assesses eligibility as part of the application, so if you're not sure whether your firm qualifies, apply and their team will confirm.
