Getting Started

triConvey is built on Smokeball, so when you connect a third-party app you'll be asked to authorise Smokeball, even though you're setting it up from triConvey.

Note: The integration is different to the RingCentral Integration found in triConvey Settings, as it is created and maintained by Captivo Labs. Learn more about Captivo Labs on their website.

What is the RingCentral by Captivo Labs Integration?

The RingCentral by Captivo Labs Integration aims to seamlessly connect information from RingCentral to the correct contact and matter in triConvey, by:

  • Showing the matching triConvey contact when a call starts

  • Recording the call against the correct matter, with the call length and your notes

  • Letting you type call notes in the RingCentral dialler

  • Using AI to summarise the call and create tasks from it

  • Letting you call a client from a phone number in triConvey

Before you begin

Ensure you have an existing RingCentral account with App Connect access.

The first step involves downloading the RingCentral App Connect extension from the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge Web Store. If your firm has managed IT that restricts downloading browser extensions, you may need to ask them to allow this extension.

Connecting the RingCentral by Captivo Labs Integration

Refer to the integration guide created by Captivo Labs for the most up-to-date steps on connecting RingCentral to triConvey:

Access the RingCentral x Captivo Integration Guide

In addition to showing you how to connect to RingCentral, it also contains written and video instructions on:

  • Configuring billing rates, tasks and call logging

  • Managing your firm's subscription with RingCentral by Captivo Labs

  • Disconnecting the integration

  • Troubleshooting common issues with the integration

Getting support for the Integration

Captivo Labs builds and supports this integration. triConvey cannot see your RingCentral connection or your call logs.

For a problem with the integration, the setup, or your invoice, email support@captivolabs.com. Include your RingCentral account number and a short description of the problem.
