You can save, edit, and combine Archie prompts you have written for easy re-use. Each prompt you write for Archie can also be stored and retrieved from the triConvey Precedent Library, and you will have access to prompts written by triConvey in addition to your custom prompts.

Accessing the Prompt Library
1. Open a matter and select the Archie tab.
2. Click the Library icon to open the Prompt Library.
3. Select the gear icon on the top-right corner of the Prompt Library.
4. The Archie Settings window will open.
5. Selecting the three vertical dots next to a prompt will allow you to open, duplicate, or delete a prompt.
Create a prompt in the Prompt Library
triConvey's Prompt builder is a powerful tool that allows you to create prompts as simple or complex as you like. To start populating the Prompt Library, follow this guide on creating a new prompt in the Prompt Library.
Save a historical prompt to the Prompt Library
If you have prompts that you have frequently use, save them to the Prompt Library for yourself and your firm for easy access.
1. Open a matter and select the Archie tab.
2. Select a prompt you previously used in the left panel and then select the book icon.
3. Select Create in the pop-up window.
The Prompt editor will open in a new window and you will be presented with multiple options for editing the prompt:
- Click the pencil icon in the upper left to edit the prompt name, associated matter type(s), and description.
- At the top of the screen, you can toggle between the editor and an isolated testing environment to test your prompt.
- Select who can see the prompt from the drop-down menu on the top-right corner of the screen.
- Use the Actions section to add and/or re-order prompt actions as needed. You can also use the toggle to make sure a document is selected to run the prompt.
- Modify the selected prompt action from the prompt selected in the Actions section.

All changes you make in the Prompt editor are automatically saved. When you're done, close the window and reopen the Archie tab in the matter.
The prompt will then be available in the library. Click the pencil icon to edit the prompt or the play icon to run it.
Use an Archie prompt created by triConvey
Several pre-configured Archie prompts exist to help you get started. These prompts are indicated by Smokeball in the Created By column and will appear in the Prompt Library along with your personal and firm prompts.
Save a prompt to the Precedent Library
You can also save an Archie prompt to the triConvey Precedent Library:
1. Select the Precedent icon from the Matter Action Bar.
2. Select Add a precedent and then the Archie Prompt tab.
3. Find the prompt from the two drop-down menus at the bottom of this window.
- The first drop-down menu allows you to choose from either Your Prompts, your Firm's Prompts, or Smokeball Prompts.
- The second drop-down menu displays all prompts under the category selected in the first drop-down menu. For example, if you chose Your Prompts, it will display all prompts only visible to you.
4. To use the prompt, double-click on it from the Precedent Library. Archie will open in a new window and run the prompt.
